Edtex LEARN

Teacher AV Training for NZ Schools. Hands-on PLD that actually sticks.

The right gear is the first step. Edtex LEARN is practical, hands-on professional development that helps kaiako feel genuinely confident - not just trained once and left to figure it out.

Talk to David about LEARN

Why most training doesn't work

A forty-five minute staff meeting. A slideshow. Good intentions. Three months later, most kaiako are back to doing what they've always done.

That's not a training problem - it's a design problem. One-off sessions don't change practice. Edtex LEARN is built around the reality that teachers need time, relevance, and follow-up to genuinely integrate new tools into how they teach.

What Edtex LEARN looks like

Every LEARN programme is tailored to your school - the specific equipment you have, the way your kaiako work, and where your team's confidence currently sits. There's no generic content. No slideshows about products your school doesn't own.

Onsite sessions tailored to your teaching team and existing tech

Full team workshops, small group deep-dives, or 1:1 coaching

Curriculum-aligned application - integrating tech into existing teaching practice

Support for your tech champions to help colleagues

New install onboarding - getting kaiako confident from day one

Ongoing support between sessions

In-person and online delivery

Training for partner schools is delivered in person by David. For schools further afield, virtual delivery options are available and expanding. If you're outside Auckland, Northland, or Waikato - get in touch and we'll work something out.

Every session run by David

Edtex LEARN is not delivered by a rotating team of facilitators. Every session is run personally by David Campton. Schools that choose LEARN know exactly who they're getting - someone who already knows their technology, understands their context, and makes teachers feel capable rather than overwhelmed.

Meet DC

David Campton - or DC as most schools know him - isn't just any facilitator. He's the person schools ask for by name. With deep expertise in classroom AV and a genuine passion for making technology feel human, he brings calm, clarity, and just the right amount of fun to every session.

DC has a knack for bridging pedagogy with technology - helping kaiako see how interactive tools can support the way they already teach, rather than adding to their workload. Teachers leave his sessions feeling capable, not overwhelmed.

"Technology will not replace great teachers, but technology in the hands of great teachers can be transformational." — George Couros
