Built for NZ schools. Run by someone who cares.
Edtex exists because NZ schools deserved a better kind of AV partner - one who gives honest advice, does the work properly, and sticks around afterwards.
"I created Edtex because I believe schools deserve the right advice from someone they can trust. If you're looking for a relationship, not a transaction, I'd love to chat."
Why Edtex exists
David Campton spent years working in and around NZ schools, watching the same pattern repeat: a school would invest in new classroom technology, the installer would come and go, and six months later the panels were being used as expensive whiteboards - if at all. The problem wasn't the technology. It was the relationship, or the lack of one.
Edtex was built to fix that. Not just to supply and install AV equipment, but to be the person a principal can call when something isn't working, when a kaiako is struggling to use the panel, when the board is asking questions about the next technology spend. One trusted partner across the whole journey.
In the first year, over 30 NZ schools across Auckland, Northland, and Waikato have made Edtex their technology partner. Most of them came through a referral. That's the number David is most proud of.
The approach is deliberately personal. Every consultation, every install, every training session is run by David - not a team of strangers. Schools that work with Edtex get someone who knows their classrooms, their kaiako, and what was recommended last year and why. That's not how most AV companies operate. It's exactly how Edtex does.
What makes Edtex different.
We listen before we recommend
Before we suggest a single product, we understand how your school works, what's already in place, and what your kaiako actually need. The right solution starts with the right questions.
We're supplier-agnostic
Edtex carries Promethean, BenQ, Newline, ViewSonic, Samsung, and others. We recommend what genuinely fits your school - not what earns us the best margin.
We don't hand off and disappear
After the install, David is still your contact. Six months later, a year later - same person, same number. The relationship doesn't get passed to a support team.
Training is part of the service
The panel is only the beginning. Edtex LEARN ensures your kaiako feel genuinely confident using their technology - not just trained once and left to figure it out.
